A bracket challenge for the road to the championship
Calling all sports fans: For the second straight season — and with a little help from our friends at FanDuel — The GIST is bringing you our free-to-play Women's Pro Basketball Playoffs Bracket Challenge. Because what's more fun than skin in the game and some friendly competition?
How to play
It doesn’t matter if you’re a bonafide hoophead or a basketball novice — these challenges are for every GISTer, no expertise required.
Here's how you can enter for a chance to win The GIST's Women's Pro Basketball Bracket Challenge powered by FanDuel:
- If this is your first time filling out a bracket with The GIST, head to the top of this page and create an account.
- Navigate to the "Make your picks" page and pick your series winners for each round by clicking on the team you think will advance. You can enter up to three brackets, but be sure to fill all three out completely.
- Points are awarded for every series winner you pick correctly: Quarter-finals are worth two, semifinals are worth four, and the finals are worth six. An additional five points will also be added if you guess the winner and series length correctly.
- Even better? If you predict the combined final score of the championship-winning game (Team 1's points + Team 2's points), you'll receive five points. Score.
- The deadline to submit a bracket is Sunday, September 14th at 1 p.m. ET, aka before the first quarter-final series begins.
- Winners will be announced in The GIST's Sports News newsletter and on The GIST's socials, so keep an eye out.
