Why let college basketball have all the fun? The GIST is hosting our first-ever bracket challenge for the pro men’s hockey playoffs, so you can have some skin in the game — and maybe win some sweet prizes. Time to make those picks.

How to play

It’s not just a trophy on the line — here’s how you can enter for a chance to win.

  • If this is your first time filling out a bracket with The GIST, welcome! Create an account to get started. If you've filled out a bracket with us before, simply sign in.
  • From there, navigate to the "Make Your Picks" page. Select your winners for every best-of-seven series by clicking on the team you think will advance. You can submit up to three brackets, but make sure each one is completely filled out.
  • Points are awarded for every correct pick, with values increasing each round: 1 point per correct first-round pick, 2 points in the second round, 4 points for the Conference Finals, and 6 points for the Finals.
  • Correctly predicting the combined score of the championship-winning game (Team 1’s goals + Team 2’s goals) will net you a bonus 5 points.
  • Submit your bracket by Monday, April 21 at 5 p.m. ET, after you take in some Game 1 action but before Game 2s start.
  • Track your progress on the live leaderboard, and stay tuned for updates after each round in The GIST’s Sports News newsletter.
