Michigan softball head coach Carol Hutchins is calling game. The NCAA’s winningest coach announced her retirement on Wednesday, leaving the field with a record of 1,707 wins, 555 losses and five ties. The Wolverines’ head coach since 1985 never had a losing season and won 22 (!!!) Big Ten regular-season titles.
- Hutchins took the Maize and Blue to the Women’s College World Series 12 times, bringing the championship trophy back to Ann Arbor in 2005. We bow down.
