The GIST is hiring a part-time freelance Integrated Marketing Manager to support our Partnerships team in a part-time capacity, working to forge new brand partnerships to take our content and programs to the next level.
The Partnerships team at The GIST works to develop, sell, and execute all of our brand partnerships, identifying opportunities to create custom partnerships across our channels (newsletter, social media, podcast, events) to help brands achieve their goals while tailoring content to our audience of “GISTers”.
We’re looking for freelance Integrated Marketing professionals who have deep experience in media, including preparing proposals and RFP submissions. Working alongside our pre-sale team, you’ll work with The GIST to create and develop materials to be shared with prospective brand partners, with a goal of meeting partner objectives and leading to new brand partnerships for The GIST.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the development of custom content and sponsorship proposals, concepting solutions that excite media buyers, deliver value to our audience, and drive revenue for The GIST
- Manage the RFP process and support sellers in proposal development:
- Initial concepting
- Collaborate with sellers, content and client solutions teams on initial brainstorming of branded offerings for clients
- Collaborate to create deliverables
- Collaborate with sellers to oversee the entire RFP deliverables timeline and process
- Manage the creation of high-quality deliverables that showcase the tactics being pitched (including decks, external and internal pricing and packaging)
- Quality control and developmental editing
- Review and clean read proposals ensuring all concepts align with the respective brand and brief, while aligning with The GIST’s brand and content
- Where opportunities exist, partner with The GIST team on other B2B marketing-related deliverables, including:
- Partner-facing materials (intro decks, offerings, reports, etc.)
- Marketing assets, including website collateral, graphics, and intellectual property
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 3 years media or integrated marketing experience at a media company or agency with an emphasis on creating materials for proposals and RFP submissions
- Deep understanding of the RFP process and media plans
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills and keen understanding of how to craft and evolve narratives.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator, including keeping key stakeholders informed
- Love for the pitch process and ideating; love developing narratives to support a concept; excited by the prospect of solving a brand’s marketing needs
- Effective in working across multiple sales and creative teams to develop custom ideas
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable in delivering against deadlines
- Expertise in digital with strong understanding of newsletter, social, podcast / video, events and emerging digital media
- Informed perspective on the overall media landscape, trends, consumption habits, and challenges
- Intrinsic curiosity and interest in the sports and media marketplace
