The GIST: It’s conference championship weekend, and the stakes couldn’t be higher for the crowded field of CFP contenders. Four undefeated challengers remain, and if they win, they’re in. Any upset could unleash a cascade of impossible choices for the CFP committee, who’ll reveal the top four selections this Sunday at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN.

  • The Big Ten ’ship tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET on FOX is little more than a formality — some doubt Iowa will put up a single point against Michigan. However, the other Power Five conferences have some all-time great matchups in store. Buckle up.

Pac-12: No. 3 Washington Huskies (12-0) vs. No. 5 Oregon Ducks (11-1), tonight at 8 p.m. ET (ABC): There’s a lot more than the Pac-12 title on the line in this rematch of one of the season’s most exciting nailbiters. A Washington win seals their CFP bid, but if Oregon avenges their only loss, they’ll likely leapfrog the Huskies into playoff contention. No pressure.

Big 12: No. 19 Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-3) vs. No. 7 Texas Longhorns (11-1), tomorrow at 12 p.m. ET (ABC): This will be Texas’ last stand before bailing for the SEC next year, and the Longhorns need a win to keep their already-narrow CFP hopes alive. But OSU has shown they know how to ruin seasons and would love to stick it to the Big 12 deserters.

SEC: No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (12-0) vs. No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide (11-1), tomorrow at 4 p.m. ET (CBS): For the third time in six seasons, these behemoths will meet in the title game. Alabama would almost certainly make the CFP if they humble the two-time defending champs — and, even though it’ll be tough, Bama’s the only team to best the Bulldogs in three years.

ACC: No. 15 Louisville Cardinals (10-2) vs. No. 4 Florida State Seminoles (12-0), tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET (ABC): Louisville blew their slim CFP chances with last week’s loss to Kentucky, but it’s not too late for them to ruin Florida State’s shot. With star QB Jordan Travis out, the ’Noles are the undefeated team most vulnerable to an upset.
