Rihanna performs biggest hits during iconic halftime show
The GIST: How ’bout a round of applause for Rihanna’s iconic halftime show, featuring a very special guest. Mothers remain unstoppable.
Rihanna: Riri said “Lift Me Up,” literally soaring above Arizona and belting out the hits, from “B!tch Better Have My Money” to “Diamonds.” Plus, she made history as the first pregnant woman to star in the Super Bowl halftime show. No guest artist needed for a standing ovation.
- Though many stanned her ode to Puffification, her
white blood cellsincredible dancers and her Fenty plug, Rihanna did receive some flack for including songs from her catalog with Kanye.
The commercials: Serena Williams inspired, and then she aced the putt. Electric vehicles are so hot right now. Pete Davidson spread mayo on a Jon Hamm and Brie Larson sandwich. Walter White and Jesse Pinkman have a new gig. Rakuten said “Shop less? As if.”
- Gronk missed his field goal, but if you wagered at least $5, FanDuel’s still giving you a piece of the pool. Oh, and apparently, football was invented in Canada. The more you know.
