NFL regular season is nearing the end
Postseason, incoming: The Philadelphia Eagles are officially playoff bound thanks to a tremendous performance by quarterback (QB) Jalen Hurts, who completed 21 of 31 passes with two passing touchdowns in yesterday’s 48–22 stomping on the NY Giants. Flyin’ high.
Never say never: Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings will have to wait at least a week to punch their ticket after the Detroit Lions thwarted the Vikes’ dreams of clinching the NFC North title with yesterday’s 34–23 win. Shoutout to rookie wide receiver (WR) Jameson Williams, who scored a touchdown on his first career NFL reception. Not too shabby.
Isn’t he tired? Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady says he’s “considering all options,” including free agency, for 2023. Brady was reportedly going to retire at the end of this season (his 23rd), after achieving his goal of playing until he’s 45, but it appears he changed his mind. Funny how he keeps doing that.
- But that news came ahead of yesterday’s 35–7 Bucs loss to the QB Brock Purdy–led San Francisco 49ers, giving the rookie a massive win in his NFL debut. Mr. Irrelevant, who?
