Tom Brady by the numbers
The GIST: Love him or hate him, there’s no denying recently retired (again) quarterback Tom Brady is the greatest of all time. So, inspired by his new movie 80 For Brady, which just so happens to hit theaters today, here’s the GOAT’s unparalleled career by the numbers, as we say goodbye (maybe) “for good.”
375: As in $375 million, the 10-year contract Brady already had lined up to join Fox Sports as an analyst following his retirement. Can’t keep him away from the gridiron for long.
199: The New England Patriots selected TB12 with the No. 199 overall pick in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. Who would’ve ever thought this guy would turn into an all-time legend?
23: The number of seasons Brady played in the NFL — a career that started when Britney Spears’ “Oops!...I Did it Again” topped the charts. The irony.
7: Brady’s total Super Bowl wins, more than any single team (!!!) and a mark no player will likely ever come close to. Ariana would be proud.
2: The number of times he retired. Will that number hold? We’ll believe it when we see it…
