The WNBA superteams finals is set
The GIST: As was expected at the start of the season, it’ll be a battle of the WNBA superteams final, with the No. 1 Las Vegas Aces and No. 2 NY Liberty securing their champ series spots over the weekend. Only bad news is we have to wait a week for the fun to begin.
Liberty outlast No. 3 Connecticut Sun in Game 4: The seafoamers are finals-bound for the first time since 2002, after holding on to top Connecticut in an 87–84 thriller yesterday.
- Connecticut’s Alyssa Thomas returned from a scary fourth quarter injury to drop yet another triple-double, but it was former Sun star Jonquel Jones who shined the brightest, posting a WNBA record sixth consecutive postseason double-double for the Libs.
Aces sweep No. 4 Dallas Wings: With Friday’s narrow series-clinching Game 3 victory behind them, the reigning champ Aces will continue their quest to become the first squad to repeat since the LA Sparks did it 21 years ago.
- And they sealed the deal with another full house outing, as four Vegas starters dropped double digit points in the dub. Next Sunday can’t come soon enough.
