We’re a week into the MLB season and 18 (!!!) members of the Miami Marlins have already tested positive for COVID-19. Not good. The league has since postponed games and adjusted the schedule, but we think this situation might require more than a Band-Aid solution.

Baseball and basketball regular seasons began this weekend, and while the season starts were fun to watch, it was the leagues’ calls for social justice that really blew us away.

Baseball is back, baby! It’s Opening Day in the MLB, and even though the Toronto Blue Jays don’t have anywhere to play, we’re still pumped that baseball’s finally back.

After an excruciatingly silly back-and-forth between the MLB and the MLB Players Association, they’ve finally kissed and made up. Which means baseball is coming back, baby!

Sports are coming back. But, unfortunately, so are some athletes’ positive COVID-19 test results.

The NBA season isn’t the only one in doubt. Due to COVID-19, the tennis season is hanging on by a thread, while the MLB situation is the literal definition of a gong show. The WNBA and NHL are looking good, though...well, kind of.

Like we said, sports are coming back...but not all sports...yet! This week has seen some positive steps forward, a few setbacks and yet another proposal to salvage the baseball season (spoiler alert: it’s not looking promising).

Little by little, some of our favorite sports are returning to action. Unfortunately, some of them are heading in the other direction, too.
